AI in Education
Featuring Patricia Shaw (Beyond Reach) and Michael Burdett (University of Nottingham), this session will delve into the role of AI in shaping the future of education and its potential impact on teaching and learning.
Understanding & Dealing with Everyday Racism – The Six Stages Framework
Led by Dr. Shungu Hilda M’gadzah, author of The Six Stages Framework, this session will explore strategies for recognizing and addressing everyday racism within educational environments.
SEND and the Curriculum
Jonny Uttley will discuss how to effectively integrate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) into the curriculum to ensure inclusivity and support for all students.
Religious Education and the Curriculum
Gillian Georgiou will provide insights on the role of Religious Education in the curriculum and its importance in fostering spiritual growth and moral development in students. We welcome, Senior Leaders, Governors, Pastoral Support, School Caplains, EDIJ Leaders.
AI and Literacy
In collaboration with the National Literacy Trust, this session will examine the intersection of AI and literacy education, offering strategies for leveraging AI to support literacy development.

Welcome to the second National Society for Education, Church of England & Church in Wales, National Secondary Leaders Network central event for 2024-25, in partnership with AASSH (Anglican Association of Secondary School Headteachers) and Catholic Education Service.

Who Is This Event For?
We invite CEOs, Headteachers, Senior Leadership Teams (SLT), Curriculum and Learning Leads, RE Leads, Chaplains, Parish Partners, Governors, and all education professionals involved in leadership, curriculum design, and community engagement. You are welcome to bring as many delegates from your school or organisation as possible to this event.
Join us for a day focused on exploring how leadership and curriculum design can empower adults—both teachers and leaders—to flourish and lead with purpose. This collaborative event will offer expert insights on key themes such as AI in education, combating racism, inclusive curriculum design for SEND students, and the role of Religious Education in fostering ethical and moral development.
